Huni Every Day Moisturiser Reviews

Review of Huni Every day Moisturiser
By Anisa B.

This Huni Every day Moisturiser comes in a yellow pump top bottle, it is a 50ml size and retails for £25. I like that it comes with a pump bottle as I find this is more hygienic than using your fingers in a jar, the only problem I had was when I was nearing the end of the bottle, the pump was not as effective and I had to unscrew the top to get the moisturiser out and there was still a lot left.

The texture of the Huni Every day Moisturiser is lovely in my opinion, it is a cream/slightly yellowish coloured gel type cream, it is a bit thicker than a gel but less thick than a cream. It is smooth and light feeling on the skin and has a wonderfully sweet honeyish smell, it does not smell at all perfume-like but the smell is strong and lasts for a while.

Huni says: Huni Every Day Moisturiser with UMF20+ Manuka honey blended with Galacteric acid, a natural substance derived from the pectin of apples, lemons and beetroot pulp that has the ability to mop up free radicals created by the natural process of aging and sped up by pollution. Huni day cream also contains Sodium hyaluronate, a natural derivative of wheat and one of the most powerful moisturisers as well as Kawakawa extract, traditionally used by the Maori to soothe the skin and eyes.
One of the main ingredients in this moisturiser is Manuka honey known for its anti-bacterial properties aswell as its ability to soothe so I feel that these are extra benefits this particular brand in general provides and would be helpful in a variety of skin conditions.

I was very pleased with this
Huni Every day Moisturiser as it actually hydrates my skin without feeling oily or greasy in anyway. It absorbed really quickly into the skin and felt as though it quenched the thirst of my skin in a sense. It feels like a pleasure to use as I like the scent of it and the lightness of the texture. I also used it on my toddler when her skin was dry and found that her dry areas were revitalised within a day or two. I also found due to some of the ingredients in this moisturiser, it left my skin radiant and healthy looking. I would imagine that most skin types could use this as it seems like a versatile moisturiser.

The pros of this Huni Every day Moisturiser are: It is suitable for all skin types
- Light and easily absorbing texture
- No greasy after feel
- Very effective at hydrating the skin
- Smells lovely

The cons are: I feel as though it is expensive for an everyday moisturiser

Huni Everyday Moisturiser Reviews

Review of Huni Everyday Moisturiser
By Shona B.

Packaging The Huni Everyday Moisturiser comes in a large bright yellow squirty bottle. The packaging is unusually shaped – like a honeycomb I think! The hexagonal packaging makes it easy to use hold if not a little bulky. The lid is large so almost impossible to loose and the squirty bit is easy to use even for those with dexterity problems as you just push it down. A small amount of Huni Everyday Moisturiser comes out with each squeeze, which means that you don’t risk releasing too much at once. I find that I need two squeezes for my face and neck. The actual dispenser doesn’t seem to clog up and stays reasonably clean even after a few weeks use.

Application The Huni Everyday Moisturiser is white and thick without being gloopy. You apply it after cleanser by gently sweeping it over your face (and in my case, neck). It goes on smoothly with absolutely no irritation and soaks in within seconds. I could apply my make up over the top within a few minutes and it didn’t seem to encourage oiliness or shine. My skin was left smooth and soft and hydrated, although there was no visible difference in luminosity. The product had a barely noticeable fresh smell.

Ingredients Full of yummy manuka honey, Kawakawa extract (which apparently is traditionally used by the Maori to soothe the skin) and the pulp of various fruits this moisturizer sounds almost good enough to eat! The ingredients are based on soothing and moisturizing the skin.

Results My skin was left smooth and soft and non-irritated.

Pros: Huni Everyday Moisturiser is pleasurable to use
Non-irritating with very little fragrance
Left my skin feeling fresh and hydrated
Doesn’t clog my skin
Soaks in fast

Cons: May be a little light for those needing intense hydration

Best For: Me! I’ll be buying this again – it suited by oily skin and didn’t cause congestion or my make up to slide off.

Trevarno Hand Cream Reviews

Review of Trevarno Olive and Almond hand cream
By Joanna E.

Packaging: The Trevarno Olive and Almond hand cream comes in a deep blue glass jar with silver lid and sophisticated black labelling. This is contained in a box decorated with a design inspired by the peacocks on the Trevarno estate. The ingredients aren’t listed on the jar itself, but on the box. All packaging is recyclable.

Application: This has to be one of the nicest hand creams I have ever come across! The texture of this Trevarno Olive and Almond hand cream is very rich and sumptuous, making it a joy to use! It almost has a sheen to it just sitting in the jar! I only needed to use a small amount each time as it is so rich. It also quickly soaks into your skin leaving an almost silky feel on the surface, but there is no oiliness or stickiness remaining on the skin as is the case with some creams. I kept wanting to use it for the sheer pleasure of it on the skin. In this cold weather my hands have been quite dry, but after only a few applications of the Trevarno Olive and Almond hand cream, they are dry no longer. The aroma is quite subtle, rather than overpowering and you are left with the gentle scent of lavender and geranium.

Ingredients : The Trevarno Olive and Almond hand cream contains some very impressive ingredients, such as almond, olive, jojoba and cocoa butter, all chosen for their benefits to the skin, plus the aromas of lavender, geranium and grapefruit. All but one of the ingredients are listed as organic and the product is suitable for vegetarians. The cream doesn’t contain long lasting preservatives, so only has a short life of 4 months once the jar is opened. But that is a point in its favour, showing that natural ingredients are more important than chemicals to prolong shelf life. And with a cream as lovely to use as this one is, there is no way my jar is going to last as long as 4 months anyway!

Results: After only a few applications of the Trevarno Olive and Almond hand cream, my dry skin has much improved and has an almost silky feel to it. Just the tactile feel of the cream is enough to make you feel good, and then you have the positive effect upon the skin!

Pros: Extremely hydrating to the skin and a joy to use!

The company source their ingredients in a sustainable way and have excellent organic credentials, being one of the first in this country to be given certification by the Organic Farmers and Growers Association.

All products in the range are made on the Trevarno Estate in Cornwall and visitors can see where the processes take place, which I plan to do if ever I have the chance to visit Cornwall.

Cons: I can’t think of any!
