A'kin Orange Blossom Toner Reviews

Review of A’kin Orange Blossom and Chamomile Refreshing and Soothing Toner
By Joanna E.

Packaging: The A’kin toner comes in a cream plastic bottle with black flip top lid. The plastic is type 2 which seems to be generally recyclable. It has clear printing on the labels, which give a wealth of information about the ingredients and the product.

Application: I have been using the A’kin Orange Blossom and Chamomile toner over my face and neck twice a day, once each morning after cleansing and then again in the evening. The toner comes out of the bottle easily, but not in a gush of liquid, making it easy to use as much or as little as required. The toner smells wonderful due to the orange blossom water it contains and the aroma lasts for quite a while. Ideal for soothing away the cares of the day as you drop off to sleep! The toner is very calming and cooling to the skin and does not leave a taut, dry feeling after application as some harsher toners do. This toner aims to rebalance and rehydrate and certainly my skin felt very soft from the continued use.

Ingredients: The A’kin range are free from all the harsh ingredients we are recommended to avoid, such as parabens and phthaltes, the Australian makers preferring instead to utilise natural botanics. Their products are all vegan and not animal tested, which is excellent. Harsh preservatives aren’t used, so the toner has a shelf life of 12 months, which is more than ample for the bottle size of 150mls. All ingredients are listed on the bottle and all are chosen for their benefits to the skin. Quite apart from the orange blossom and chamomile of the title which soothes the skin, rose extract is also included, adding to the richness of the aroma. Witch Hazel and Horse Chestnut are also helpful to the skin.

Results: After using the A’kin Orange Blossom and Chamomile toner twice a day for the past couple of weeks, my skin has really benefited and seems much softer and yes, possibly more hydrated. This product is an excellent one and seems reasonable priced for the quality of the ingredients and also will last for a decent length of time. The Australian company sound to have an excellent policy of using good ingredients and avoiding the harsher chemicals.

Pros: The toner has a wonderful aroma
Hydrating and very soothing to the skin
Can be used on any skin types

Cons: None that I have come across!

John Masters Vitamin C Serum Reviews

Review of John Masters Organics Vitamin C anti-aging face serum
By Kelly B.

Packaging The packaging for the John Masters Organics Vitamin C anti-aging face serum is an amber glass pump action bottle inside a cardboard box. The colours of the packaging are very natural, being earthy beiges and browns which perfectly compliments the natural product inside. The packaging looks expensive and simple yet stylish.

John Masters Organics are a very ethical company. They only use recycled and unbleached paper with the most minimal amount of ink. Their products are biodegradable as recyclable. Such facts makes you feel that John Masters Organics care as much about the environment as the product itself. In John Masters’ own words: “John Masters Organics grew out of my desire to create a luxury organic line that enhances beauty while respecting the beauty of the natural world.”

Application The texture of the
John Masters Organics Vitamin C anti-aging face serum is gel like and has a refreshing delicate tangerine scent. It glides onto skin so effortlessly which is ideal if you have delicate skin and don’t want to pull it about whilst applying products. A feather light stroke is all that is necessary.

It soaks in and dries quickly. Once dry it forms a light film which feels very slightly sticky to the touch. This organic serum seems to have a firming effect on application. Skin feels taut and supported by the serum. It promotes a healthy and radiant glow and skin feels hydrated without being loaded with product. The serum is very light and non greasy. It actually states on the box that it is to be ‘used in place of heavy night cream’ and I found this to be so true. I have dry skin and this light serum gave me better results than any heavy night cream.

Ingredients John Masters Organics uses only the finest organic and wild crafted ingredients, natural preservatives and only high quality steam-distilled essential oils (evidenced by the gorgeous smell!). John Masters Organics Vitamin C anti-aging face serum importantly, for those like me with sensitive skin, is hypo-allergenic. It contains vitamin C significantly ‘in its natural amino acid polypeptide form’ which penetrates the skin to aid in the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. Whilst anti-oxidant rich botanicals serve to ‘stimulate procollagen production’ and intensely moisturise.

The main ingredient is Aloe vera leaf juice which is well known for its calming, soothing, hydrating and anti-aging properties. The John Masters Organics Vitamin C anti-aging face serum also contains spirulina, a fresh water algae known for its anti-inflammatory, healing, and moisturising effects. Retinyl palmitate, a respected wrinkle reducer and skin smoother. Shea butter, wheat germ oil, and sunflower seed oil to provide the perfect moisturising and soothing balance.

An impressive array of ingredients with no animal testing, no parabens, no sodium lauryl sulfates, no petro-chemicals, no synthetic fragrances, artificial colours, DEAs, MEAs, TEAs or GMOs. Needless to say a brand you can trust and feel totally confident applying to your skin.

Results There is no question that John Masters Organics Vitamin C anti-aging face serum works! It is the absolute best natural anti-aging product I have ever tried. It is so amazingly gentle yet so effective. It exfoliates, smoothes, hydrates, reduces wrinkles and makes skin glow.

How fast? The very next morning after the first application my skin was silky soft and glowing. The radiance was remarkable it was fantastically luminescent, and dewy. The organic serum seemed to exfoliate and remove any sign of dry skin. My skin is extremely sensitive and most exfoliants are too harsh for me however John Masters Organics Vitamin C anti-aging face serum exfoliates as if by magic it is so amazingly gentle. Your skin feels so smooth it creates a fantastic base to apply your make-up.

I feel you look younger and fresher the very next morning and after a fortnight I felt I looked a few years younger. It will be a regular part of my beauty regime from now on. John Masters Organics Vitamin C anti-aging face serum is amazing, quite simply it really works! Buy it and try it yourself!
