Jurlique Wrinkle Softening Cream Reviews

Review of Jurlique Wrinkle Softening Cream
By Sue B.

Packaging I received a tester tube of Jurlique wrinkle softening cream which came in a brown box with “Tester” printed around the top. Unfortunately, the ingredients list and warnings are only found on the retail carton so, with the help of the website address printed on the tester carton and the tube inside, I was able to find out this information. The usage instructions were to be found on the tube itself so, if I wasn’t interested to find out more, I could go ahead and begin trialling the cream. Also, the carton is biodegradable and the black print on a cream background makes it easy to read.

Application The rich cream is easily applied and absorbed within moments without leaving any sticky residue or shine, just soft nourished skin. The fragrance is subtle, fresh and fills you with a sense of well being. I enjoyed using the cream just because of the smell. My usual cream has recently been causing itchiness to my forehead after application, but Jurlique Wrinkle Softening Cream caused no irritation at all.

Ingredients I found the list of ingredients on the Jurlique website and, at first glance, they look daunting. When you read them you notice that the length of the list is due to the Latin names being added before the common names. However, despite the use of some natural essential oils, none of the ingredients are organic. In the information about the company, Jurlique report to be passionate “to produce the purest, most effective skincare on earth.” They do report to never use pesticides or herbicides on their farm so, if you are not rigidly sticking to organic products, this could be a product for you – if you can afford it!

Results I didn’t notice any improvement in the lines on my forehead after two weeks of use of Jurlique wrinkle softening cream but that may be due to them being more than “fine lines”. I’ll certainly use the entire tube before making a definite comparison. My skin did feel nourished, soft and smooth. I loved the fragrance too.

Pros: Only a small amount is required.
· Rich, creamy texture.
· Can be used around the eyes as well as the face, neck and décolletage.
· No pesticides or herbicides used in production.

Cons: The tube was initially hard to pierce with the lid.
· It’s expensive.
· No organic ingredients.
· The expiry date is March 2010 – I would expect the retail product to have a longer date.

Barefoot Nourishing Cleansing Milk Reviews

Review of Barefoot Botanicals Cleansing Milk
By Irene M.

Packaging Barefoot Botanicals Rosa Fina Nourishing Cleansing Milk is neatly dispensed from an attractive plastic bottle incorporating a pump dispenser hygienically covered by a transparent plastic cap.

Application Barefoot Botanicals Rosa Fina Nourishing Cleansing Milk formulated to suit particularly, mature, combination, oily and rosacea skin types, the thick and creamy texture of this mild and gentle cleansing milk makes it a delight to use. Massaged over my face, neck and décolletage with warm hands, followed by removal with a damp cloth, left my skin feeling clean, toned and rejuvenated.

Ingredients Described as 100% natural and therapeutic, with certified organic ingredients sourced wherever possible, Barefoot Botanicals Rosa Fina Nourishing Cleansing Milk carries a long and impressive list of ingredients; the most prized in the entire Rosa Fina range being the highly therapeutic Rosa Mosqueta Oil, renowned for it’s dramatic effect on wrinkles, stretch marks and scar tissue. Additional ingredients include witch hazel and dandelion to purify and aloe vera and jojoba to nourish and replenish.

Results Already a huge fan of Barefoot Botanicals, this was my first experience of their Rosa Fina Nourishing Cleansing Milk, and results did not disappoint. Most cleansing milks do not suit my exceptionally dry skin, being generally too astringent. However, I had no such problems with Barefoot Botanicals Rosa Fina Nourishing Cleansing Milk. The subtle and delicate scent of rose is gorgeous, and my very dry and mature skin loved the thick and creamy texture of this gentle product. This is definitely now my favourite cleanser!

Pros: Mild and gentle, yet extremely effective.
Delicate scent of rose leaves skin feeling luxuriously pampered.
An excellent ‘starter’ product in the Rosa Fina range.

Cons: Not cheap, but excellent value for money.
