Review of Juice Beauty Repair Moisturizer

Review of Juice Beauty Green Apple Repair Moisturizer
By Joanna E.

Packaging: The Juice Beauty Green Apple Repair Moisturizer comes in a plastic bottle with a pump dispenser inside a recyclable box. The labelling is very clear on both bottle and box and all ingredients are listed on both, with the box giving plenty of information on the product.

Application: Juice Beauty recommend that you use this product twice each day, morning and evening after cleansing to gain the best results. The Juice Beauty Green Apple Moisturizer is a pale cream colour and has a lovely subtle aroma. The consistency is quite runny, making it very easy to apply. Juice Beauty recommend that you warm the cream in your hands before using, but I felt this wasn’t needed as the cream was already soft. To be fair, I have been using this product in the height of summer, so it will be interesting to see if the consistency changes in the cold weather. The pump dispensed enough cream in one full squirt for my face and neck, but it was tricky to try and pump just a tiny bit out on a couple of occasions when I just wanted a small amount. I found the cream needed gently working into my skin, after which it was absorbed very well, but did leave a slightly shiny look to my skin and a slight feeling of stickiness………………although in fairness it has been hot weather. There is a tingle on the skin on first application, but that quickly disappears and could be due to the apple and lemon ingredients.

Ingredients: Juice Beauty are an American company and the majority of the ingredients they use are organic and certified by the appropriate agencies there. They don’t use any of the harsh chemical ingredients such as parabens or sulphates. Their products aren’t tested on animals and are suitable for vegetarians. I love to find products that confirm their suitability for us vegetarians, as then I don’t have to trawl through all the ingredients! The list contained in this product is an impressive one, with various juices such as the apple and lemon, oils to nourish the skin such as jojoba, shea butter, borage and sunflower, honey ( which is why it isn’t suitable for vegans) for its soothing properties. The company recommend that this product is used within 18 months, which is easily done when using twice a day. A 50 ml tube such as this would last me about a year and even though it is initially quite expensive, I think it represents value for money for the quality of the product.

Results: I have used this Juice Beauty Green Apple Repair Moisturiser for 2 weeks now, twice each day and my skin is feeling lovely and soft. I’m not sure that I have yet achieved the ‘radiant, ageless complexion’ mentioned on the box, but there is time yet! The dry patch of skin beside my mouth has eased slightly, which is another bonus.

Pros: Very nourishing and improves the softness of my skin
Helped the dry patch of skin
Excellent ingredients
Suitable for vegetarians

Cons: The cream can start to dry against the tip of the pump
I could do without the shine on my skin in this hot weather
