A'kin Orange Blossom Toner Reviews

Review of A’kin Orange Blossom and Chamomile Refreshing and Soothing Toner
By Joanna E.

Packaging: The A’kin toner comes in a cream plastic bottle with black flip top lid. The plastic is type 2 which seems to be generally recyclable. It has clear printing on the labels, which give a wealth of information about the ingredients and the product.

Application: I have been using the A’kin Orange Blossom and Chamomile toner over my face and neck twice a day, once each morning after cleansing and then again in the evening. The toner comes out of the bottle easily, but not in a gush of liquid, making it easy to use as much or as little as required. The toner smells wonderful due to the orange blossom water it contains and the aroma lasts for quite a while. Ideal for soothing away the cares of the day as you drop off to sleep! The toner is very calming and cooling to the skin and does not leave a taut, dry feeling after application as some harsher toners do. This toner aims to rebalance and rehydrate and certainly my skin felt very soft from the continued use.

Ingredients: The A’kin range are free from all the harsh ingredients we are recommended to avoid, such as parabens and phthaltes, the Australian makers preferring instead to utilise natural botanics. Their products are all vegan and not animal tested, which is excellent. Harsh preservatives aren’t used, so the toner has a shelf life of 12 months, which is more than ample for the bottle size of 150mls. All ingredients are listed on the bottle and all are chosen for their benefits to the skin. Quite apart from the orange blossom and chamomile of the title which soothes the skin, rose extract is also included, adding to the richness of the aroma. Witch Hazel and Horse Chestnut are also helpful to the skin.

Results: After using the A’kin Orange Blossom and Chamomile toner twice a day for the past couple of weeks, my skin has really benefited and seems much softer and yes, possibly more hydrated. This product is an excellent one and seems reasonable priced for the quality of the ingredients and also will last for a decent length of time. The Australian company sound to have an excellent policy of using good ingredients and avoiding the harsher chemicals.

Pros: The toner has a wonderful aroma
Hydrating and very soothing to the skin
Can be used on any skin types

Cons: None that I have come across!
