Trilogy Everything Balm Reviews

Review of Trilogy Everything Balm
By Sally Sisson

Packaging: Trilogy Everything Balm is a light weight plastic jar encased in a cardboard box. The plastic makes this versatile product perfect for throwing into a toiletry bag or hand bag as it is light to carry around and can be recycled along with the cardboard box. Trilogy also uses bio inks for printing. The 45ml jar is going to last a while too so no need to keep throwing away lots of jars.

Application: I was most exited to try Trilogy Everything Balm out and with the enticing name of Everything Balm I immediately opened the jar and scooped a little out. The texture is similar to that of a light lip balm, so first off I tried it out on my dry lips. The fragrance is soft enough for it to taste good and it gave a very pleasant moisturizing effect to my parched lips. Next a dabbed some onto my dry elbows and after a couple of days they really had improved. Over the following days I kept the balm to hand and found it invaluable in dealing with my sore nose (I had a stinking cold). It soothed the sore area beautifully. And finally I took it with me on a weekend away and used it as a make shift cleansing balm (I had forgotten to pack my normal one) I massaged it into my face and neck where it dissolved my make up then took it off with a hot muslin cloth. The product melts quickly to a light oil once applied to the skin.

Ingredients: Trilogy skincare products boasts ‘Safe, high performance, natural and sustainable ingredients are our priority.’ And with a beautiful selection of skin nourishing oils: Certified Organic Marula Oil and Certified Organic Rosehip Oil, Jojoba, Olive, Avocado, Honey and Vitamin E they certainly select well.
For me Trilogy Everything Balm does everything that Vaseline (it’s a similar consistency) does with out the awful petro chemicals plus the nutritious ingredients actually help the skin too.

Results: Well my lips are soft, nose is no longer sore, face cleansed and dry elbows are a thing of the past. I would say that’s a pretty good list of results.

Pros:
Truly a multi purpose product. I could pack this and soap and not need another toiletry item for a night away.
Excellent price as you only need a very small amount of the product.
Perfectly sized jar to keep in handbag or on the desk.
Lovely simple ingredients with a pleasant scent.
Cons:
It is not suitable for vegans as it contains honey and beeswax.

Natural Being Manuka Hand and Body Cream Reviews

Review of Natural Being Manuka Hand and Body Cream
By Sandra C.

Packaging: Natural Being Manuka Hand and Body Cream is packed in a recycled plastic tube which makes this cream light to travel. I like the simple packaging and I hope they will change the design so that it is even lighter to carry around.

Scent: When I first squeezed the Natural Being Manuka Hand and Body Cream
on my palm, the smell was extremely strong that I had to quickly rub the cream off. The fragrance is reminiscent of honey but not in a good way. It is so strong that I now cannot wear it before going to bed. I don’t know if it’s my problem that I always find any skincare products containing honey smell disgusting such as L’occitane Honey Harvest face cream. The good thing is the smell does vanish in a while.

Ingredients: There are actually a lot of lovely ingredients in Natural Being Products especially in Natural Being Manuka Hand and Body Cream which contains Jojoba seed oil, olive oil, Manuka Oil which is renounced for its antibacterial properties and Vitamin E is a powerful preservative. No wonder there is no trace of parabens, phenoxyethanol, phthalates and other harsh chemicals.

Result: It is such a shame that the smell destroyed Natural Being Manuka Hand and Body Cream which was packed with so many lovely ingredients in such a reasonable price. The texture is good and the light cream formula was absorbed by my skin quickly without feeling dry for a long time. I had a bad allergy on my legs this afternoon. As this cream is on my desk, so I quickly put this cream on the rash or I would scratch it until it bleeds. It actually calmed down the rash and the itch was gone within few minutes. That is really amazing. I wish they would have a line of unscented face and body cream as I am still struggling if I will put up with the smell and keep using it.

Pros:
Texture is light and was quickly absorbed.
Price is very reasonable.
It is filled with lots of organic and natural ingredients.

Cons:
The scent is awfully strong.

Burt’s Bees Orange Essence Facial Cleanser Reviews

Review of Burt’s Bees Orange Essence Facial Cleanser

By Sally S.

Packaging: Burt’s Bees Orange Essence Facial Cleanser is presented in a soft plastic tube. There is no excess packaging with Burt’s Bees products which I like. The plastic is made from 42% post consumer recycled plastic. It states it is recyclable but I think that depends on local facilities.

Application: The squeezy tube allows for easy dispensing of the thick cleanser. The consistency of Burt’s Bees Orange Essence Facial Cleanser is a soft gel that is easy to use and when it is applied to damp skin emulsifies. It feels slightly warm when massaged into the skin; it has a lovely rich consistency and is a real delight to use. You do have to remove it with a warm face cloth for best results.

Ingredients: 100% natural ingredients like all Burt’s Bees Products. It smells amazing just like you have pierced an orange. It’s refreshing and luxurious at the same time. The glycerine, aloe, oat kernel and sunflower oil all make it a very nourishing rather than stripping cleanser, it dissolves the make up and oil. The fragrance comes from the orange essential oil.

Results: Ultra soft skin that’s well cleansed and happy. I have used Burt's Bess Orange Essence Facial Cleanser many times in the past and I cannot say enough good things about it. My combination skin is well balanced as its thoroughly cleansed daily and my mum uses it and her mature/dry skin loves it too.

Pros:

This product lasts ages; you only need a very small amount.

Smells utterly gorgeous.

Seems to suit all skin types and leaves skin fresh and comfortable.

Cons:

That Burt’s Bees don’t make lots of products with this fragrance.
