Trilogy Ultra Hydrating Cream Reviews

Trilogy Ultra Hydrating Cream

By Kelly B.

Packaging: Trilogy Ultra Hydrating Cream comes in a pale pink recyclable plastic tube in a cardboard box. It has an ergonomically designed flip close lid which is very easy to open and makes use easy and no worry of losing the lid. The opening is medium sized and let’s out just enough product. I noticed I never squeezed out too much. Packaging is a simple and clean design.

Application: The texture of the Trilogy Ultra Hydrating Cream is very rich and creamy. This natural product can be worn as a day or night cream or as a moisturising face mask. If using as a cream I found that you really don’t need much at all for best results. It absorbs very well and seems to melt into your skin. If you over rub or apply another layer the texture seems to clog (I didn’t like it under my makeup due to this). For this reason if using as a cream it is better to use only a little, rub it in hands first and pat gently into the face. Once on the skin your skin looks glowing and maybe a touch greasy. The nourishing ingredients seem to form a barrier over the skin which felt like it was hard for the skin to breathe or perspire through.I preferred to use it as a night cream or applied more thickly as a moisturising cream mask (and either left overnight or rinsed off after 20 minutes or so). As it can be applied to the delicate eye area it is good as a hydrating eye mask too.The scent is delicately floral; lavender can be detected as can very faint undertones of manuka honey. I liked the Trilogy Ultra Hydrating Cream fragrance it is a very clean fresh smell which fades very quickly. The cream is white in colour which I find helpful as it will not stain clothing necklines.

Ingredients: Reassuringly all Trilogy Skincare Products are free from harmful toxic ingredients such as parabens and petrochemicals. Trilogy products are made in New Zealand are vegan and not tested on animals.Trilogy Ultra Hydrating Cream has an array of intensely nourishing ingredients. The second ingredient in the Trilogy Ultra Hydrating Cream is aloe vera which is well known for its soothing, calming, anti-inflammatory, and anti-aging properties. Active Manuka Honey for its rejuvenating, healing, and anti aging effects. Manuka honey is also loaded with so many minerals and vitamins to feed and nourish the skin. Antioxidant rich Rosehip seed oil for its soothing, healing, redness reducing, and broken capillary healing effects. Along with deeply moisturising and hydrating oils; evening primrose, avocado (also anti-aging) and coconut. An impressive collection of soothing and hydrating ingredients, a treat for any parched skin!

Results: I really liked Trilogy Ultra Hydrating Cream. After the first use my skin looked more radiant and glowing. All the intensely hydrating ingredients serve to eliminate dryness and seem to have a real skin plumping effect. My skin is sensitive and quite dry and within a week of use I noticed that dehydration lines had improved by maybe 10-15%. After a fortnight’s use I felt dehydration lines were 25-30% less. My skin looked more silky, smooth, glowing and luminescent. The healing ingredients also reduced redness. I loved the fact that Trilogy Ultra Hydrating Cream gave such a glow and luminescence without any harsh peeling or exfoliating ingredients. It gives a glow just by deeply nourishing and moisturising the skin (in effect giving it a drink!) which I feel is so much more gentle and kind on skin, especially sensitive and sometimes fragile skin like mine. I feel Trilogy Ultra Hydrating Cream is a good ‘emergency’ product to have in for fast deep hydration. For best results use as a moisturising cream mask applied generously and either wear overnight or rinse after 15-20 minutes, for a radiant glow (apply to lips too they’ll be silky soft the next day!).

Pros:

Gives skin a dewy glow

Deeply hydrating ingredients

Glowing radiance without harsh peeling or exfoliating ingredients

Delicate floral scent

Reduces redness

Makes skin silky soft

Can be used as a day and/or night cream

Lovely as a moisturising face mask

So gentle and fine to use on delicate eye area (and a great eye mask!)

Free from parabens and other harmful ingredients

No animal testing

Cons:

If too much applied, texture goes cloggy on application (use sparingly – except when used as a face mask)

Not suitable as a makeup base

Forms barrier over face and feels difficult for skin to breathe and perspire through

Plastic packaging (my preference is glass)

I think the rich ingredients may have been the cause of a few small spots.
